How to Get Started
with Our Children's Dental Office
Choosing a pediatric dental office for your child is a big decision and taking them to an unfamiliar dental office can be a bit nerve-racking for both of you. We completely understand, which is why we want to do everything to make your initial experience at KidSmiles Dental and Orthodontics as easy as possible. To that end, you’ll find everything you need to know ahead of time below.
Your Child's First Dental Visit
Your child’s first visit will vary a bit depending on their age, but in general, you’ll both have a chance to meet Dr. Dean and our team at the start, and then your child’s teeth will be cleaned and examined. We may also take some X-rays if necessary. You’re welcome to stay with your child if you like throughout the appointment, and you’ll leave with an ongoing care plan designed just for them.
Dental Insurance Welcome
Many families rely on dental insurance to make their child’s care affordable, and that’s why KidSmiles Dental and Orthodontics is happy to accept PPO plans (we currently do NOT accept DMO plans). If you have insurance, give us a call so we can verify your benefits and give you an estimate of how your child's upcoming appointment will be covered. After your visit, we will file our claims with your insurance carrier in a timely manner.

For families without dental insurance, low-interest financing is available to help make even extensive dental care budget friendly! Discounts for Cash Payments
We never want your financial situation to prevent your child from getting the care they need, so if you’re worried about affordability because you don’t have insurance, we’re more than willing to work with you. Flexible payment plans can be organized with our pediatric dental office. If you don't have dental insurance, you’ll be given a discount so that the cost of procedures is roughly the same as if you had insurance.
