Better Technology for Brighter Smiles

A lot of children's dental offices just paint their walls a bright color and put some toys in the waiting room before calling it a day, but at KidSmiles Dental and Orthodontics, we believe in doing much more for our young patients. That’s why we have invested in truly state of the art dental technology to ensure that we always provide comfortable and high-quality care for your child. To learn about some of the technology that your child will benefit from, read below.

Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera is a small device that’s slightly larger than a pen, and it fits comfortably into even the smallest mouth. With it, we can take high-resolution pictures of a child’s teeth and gums, allowing us to perform more thorough examinations. We can show you and your child their images on a large monitor right next to their chair as well, helping you both better understand what our team is seeing and how certain treatments might benefit their smile.

Intraoral Scanner

No more goopy dental impressions! At Kidsmiles Dental and Orthodontics, we have a state-of-the-art intraoral scanner that we use to create a digital scan of our patient's mouths. This enables us to be much more precise and it saves our patients from having to endure uncomfortable, goopy old school dental impressions.

All-Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a common concern for many parents, but thanks to digital radiography, we’re able to put those worries to bed. Not only are digital X-rays significantly faster and sharper compared to traditional film, but the process also emits 90% LESS radiation, which is good news for everyone. Plus, because the scans are digital, we can easily store and reference them to monitor long-term changes over the course of your child’s oral development.
